Design of industrial buildings and structures

This type of work requires specialists to understand the company’s production processes. Industry technologists are usually involved as experts in the development of such projects.

Industrial Design is based on an existing plant layout.

This includes the use of heavy machinery, vibrations, structural stresses, aggressive media and much more.

Design by stage

Regardless of the future business, the design is based on a predetermined algorithm. This makes it possible to assess the advantages and disadvantages of the chosen solutions, to make adjustments, and to reduce the cost and time of project development.

In general terms, with regard to preparation, the design is carried out in the following steps:

PRE-PROJECT STAGE

Collection of baseline data. Development of terms of reference, study of the specifics and technologies of the future plant. Drawing up a programme of engineering and survey work.

CREATION OF CONCEPTUAL DESIGN AND DOCUMENTATION

Selection of the most rational solutions in terms of technical and economic criteria.

DEVELOPMENT OF PROJECT DOCUMENTATION (DRAWINGS, CIRCUIT DIAGRAMS, TEXTS, COST ESTIMATES, ETC.)

the most up-to-date method of obtaining documentation is information modelling, in which all this data is obtained from the BIM model

CONDUCTING OF STATE OR NON-STATE EXPERTISE OF DESIGN DOCUMENTATION

INCLUDING – ENVIRONMENTAL, IF NECESSARY

CONCEPT DEVELOPMENT

Selection of the main process equipment.

ENGINEERING SURVEYS AT THE CONSTRUCTION SITE

Selection of architectural and structural solutions and their georeferencing to the actual site.

PROJECT APPROVAL WITH THE CUSTOMER

Making adjustments if necessary

DEVELOPMENT OF WORKING DOCUMENTATION

APPROVAL OF OPERATIONAL DOCUMENTATION BY THE CLIENT AND ALL ORGANISATIONS CONCERNED

Lifting Equipment

Delivery and construction works require specific lifting equipment, the use of such equipment allows to maximize the mechanisation of delivery process  and heavy loads transportation.
The classification of such equipment includes many varieties with different functional purpose, mechanical power and other parameters.

The most widely used classification according to complexity of operation is to divide all lifting equipment into:

on simple devices:
– winches;
– hoists;
– jacks;
– blocks, etc.

and on complex:
– cranes;
– manipulators;
– construction hoists;
– telphers;
– elevators, etc.

Loading and unloading work involves an increased risk to workers, so strict adherence to safety procedures is required. This will make the work more efficient, productive and fast due to the high level of efficiency.
The load handling equipment is manufactured in accordance with established regulations and technical standards to ensure sufficiently robust construction and a long service life.
Also for load handling operations, traction mechanisms can be used to enable the load to be moved horizontally or in an inclined plane.
It is stated that the integrated use of lifting and traction equipment contributes to a significant increase in efficiency and productivity.
